The Canadian Maritime provinces

Explore the Canadian Maritime provinces by motorhome

Travel around eastern Canada in your motorhome and discover the charming towns and national parks of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Beautiful scenery awaits you.

After spending a little time visiting Halifax, collect your motorhome and head off! Take the road that runs along the south coast and enjoy the impressive landscapes. Visit the charming coastal communities of Peggy's Cove, Chester and Mahone Bay before heading on to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Don't forget your camera - the Peggy's Cove lighthouse is the most photographed lighthouse in Canada.

Leaving Lunenburg behind you can continue along the south coast to arrive at Kejimkujik National Park. Spend the day enjoying the park's many activities, such as canoeing, hiking or cycling, in its well preserved, wild nature. Later in the afternoon, head towards Digby and spend another day in the area to see the whales in the Bay of Fundy.

You can then take the ferry to the neighbouring province of New Brunswick. The views are breathtaking and the fauna and flora wonderfully rich. The Bay of Fundy is one of our world's true marine wonders. The 11 km coastal road towards Fundy National Park will gibe you plenty of opportunity to see some whales.

Don't miss a visit to Kouchibouguac National Park, a mosaic of marshes, salt marshes, rivers, fresh water sources, sheltered lagoons, abandoned fields and large forests.

Next you can cross the Confederation Bridge onto Prince Edward Island. Enjoy the three tourist coastal roads especially signposted and marked in different colours. You will certainly enjoy the spectacular views and many lighthouses on the island.

Take the ferry to Pictou, known as the birthplace of Nova Scotia, and drive north to Cape Breton Island. You can finish your day by Lake Ainslie. Then head north to Margaree Harbour and join the famous Cabot Trail, a stunning route that goes from from sea level and up to an altitude of 3,000 feet passing through a national park.
