A few tips to help you prepare for your trip
Security
A trip in a motorhome, avoiding travelling at night, will not expose you to insecurity. Avoid leaving visible valuables in the vehicle. Avoid shortcuts on the outskirts of major cities that could take you through townships. You should carry a mobile phone with you.
Type of luggage
Prepare your suitcases: the useful and... not the superfluous.
When travelling by motorhome in Zimbabwe it is important to save as much space as possible.
To avoid being overwhelmed and especially if you pick up and drop off your vehicle in two different cities, remember to bring soft bags or even backpacks that can be stored very easily in a corner of the motorhome.
If your city of departure and your city of arrival are the same, you can always leave your empty suitcases in a locker at the rental centre.
A day bag can be very handy to keep your valuables, or even for your excursions and visits.

Extraordinary country with many campsites and a developed road network.
Avoid driving at night and always spend the night in established campsites.
It is important to reserve your campsite in advance during peak seasons.
For 5 - 6 passengers we recommend booking long in advance.
For certain park and nature reserve roads (except Kruger) a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
