Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Reserve, une réserve fantastique pour un safari à deux pas de Durban.
Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park offers nearly 100,000 hectares of natural vegetation within Zulu territory. It is the oldest game reserve in Africa, officially created in 1985). The park is home to an extraordinary wildlife living naturally and in freedom. The park contains the "Big Five" (lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo and rhinos), as well as many more animals and birds. It is advisable to explore this park during the cooler periods from May to October when the vegetation is less dense and the animals more visible. In the Hluhluwe area paved roads are very accessible and it is easy to spot the animals. The Imfolozi section is more wild.
Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park is less famous than other reserves in South Africa, notably Kruger Park. This allows for excellent safari trips without the pressures of mass tourism.
