CampingCar-Online can offer you an itinerary to discover the North of New Zealand. In your motorhome you will have an unforgettable adventure with family or friends.

Your motorhome road would in Auckland. Auckland is the largest city in New Zealand with a population of about 4.5 million. Take time to explore this bustling city with its cultural diversity. There are many activities from the beautiful beach, to lovely shops, wineries and cruises to the different islands. Follow the North Highway via the small town of Whangarei on the east coast. From Whangarei continue to Paihia and the Bay of Islands where the subtropical climate will offer you a warm welcome.

The Bay of Islands is known worldwide as a haven for boating, diving and fishing. Paihia is the main visitor centre, where there are many tourist cruises to take. Take a ferry trip across the bay from the historic town of Rusell. Try kayaking and snorkeling in the clear, warm waters around the islands. Take Highway 10 from Paihia to Kaitaia, then Highway 1 to Cape Reinga. Kaitaia is the main city in the northern region of the island and an ideal base for exploring the area.

Enjoy a scenic walk in the natural bush at the Millennium Nocturnal Park where you can see the Kiwi, the emblematic bird of New Zealand, in its natural habitat. Dargaville has a rich heritage that you will enjoy and Baylys Beach is a resort with golden sand and dunes. You will have no trouble finding campsites along the way and you can even do some 'wild' camping (outside of designated camping sites).

In Wellsford, take the western route to Auckland via Highway 16. Drive along the beaches and Leigh Snells before joining Highway 1 in Warkworth. Don't hesitate to go to the Sky Tower to get an incredible view of Auckland. Go and see the amazing variety of underwater fauna at the Kelly Tariton Underwater World. Take a ferry to the Volcano Rangioto Island and climb to the top to enjoy the beautiful views of the Hauraki Gulf.
