Glenveagh National Park

Splendid landscapes and ruins

Glenveagh National Park, opened in 1986, is situated in the northwest of the country and contains an incredible natural heritage, as well as important historical relics.

The park is a very wild nature that extends over 10 000 hectares. The main, and best, activity to do is hiking. Many trails of all levels are available through lndscapes of mountains, forests, swamps and moors. There is a famous castle overlooking the park's lake. A guided tour is possible, but you can also stroll through the manicured gardens. Many animals inhabit the area, such as the red deer.
