Northern Italy has a continental climate with cold winters and sweltering summers. The best time to travel is spring with temperatures that are neither too cold nor too hot. In southern Italy the climate is Mediterranean with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers.

Book a trip to Sicily long in advance
The historical city centres are not accessible by motorhome. Park just outside of them in a designated area
